Necessity is the mother of all invention and it seems a year indoors has turned nearly everyone into a master chef. Our latest global research story for Mastercard looked at the culinary boom across the world with two thirds of adults saying they have upped their skills in the kitchen over the past 12 months.
 
The cooking trend was backed up by food-related spend data with cookbooks and crockery all experiencing mini booms. Our findings were turned into delicious assets by the Great British Bake Off illustrator Tom Hovey, generating coverage in multiple Mastercard territories.
