In what has been a challenging year for everyone, our final story of 2020 for Mastercard revealed that it’s also a year that has reminded us all what’s important in life. And while we can’t see everyone we want to see, most people are being more thoughtful with their Christmas presents for loved ones.
 
The year that was has also given rise to ‘philanthrogifters’ who are buying gifts for those in need and donating to good causes, as well as a continued surge in shopping local.
 
The findings were turned into a series of festive social ads with the story landing in multiple countries around the world.
